Lubbock has quite a few events intended to put folks in a holiday mood, particular in the way of music and theater. The Garza Theater presents a musical adaptation of the Dickens Classic “A Christmas Carol” through much of December. The Cactus Theater presents a variety of holiday shows, from Michael Martin Murphy’s Cowboy Christmas, a Cactus Family Christmas, and Sanders Family Christmas.

The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra presents two holiday shows this month: Holiday Pops on December 5th and a chamber series holiday concert on December 15th.

The Depot District, close to the Buddy Holly Center, is the place to head for shopping and dining.

So plan to treat yourself to a few days at a Lubbock bed and breakfast this month. Shop for others, and take advantage of the varied holiday entertainment the city has to offer.
