Denison Texas was founded in 1872, and was from the outset an important commercial center in the 19th century American West.  Located just 75 miles north of Dallas four miles south of the Texas/Oklahoma border, it is a perfect place to stop and rest while visiting the area.  Enjoy the rolling and wooded terrain that stretches northward to the shores of Lake Texoma, one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States, and the Red River.
