Decker Creek Bed & Breakfast & Biscuit
Decker Creek Bed & Breakfast & Biscuit is designed to be accommodating to guests who want a quality rural experience with easy access to city attractions. And you don't have to leave your four-legged friends at home. We are totally dog-friendly.
Our two private, modern cabins each have a kitchen, king or twin beds, whirlpool tub, large screened porch, central heat and air, local TV, CD/DVD players, wi-fi access, large fenced yard with grill, and full access to 50 wooded acres with a creek running through it.
The property is on a quiet rural road about 15 miles east of Austin. We are a "wildlife management area" with emphasis on being a bird habitat. The entire place is open to our guests, and you are welcome to walk through the woods and enjoy the creek.
For guests with dogs, we have dog towels, bowls, beds, furniture-covering sheets and blankets, crates and dog-wash areas (with dog shampoo). And we make some very tasty dog biscuits.
There are plenty of activities nearby, such as golf and canoeing on the Colorado. And we are close to all the entertainment Austin has to offer. If you need to leave the dogs, they are welcome to be in the cabin, on the porch or in the yard.
We serve a full breakfast every day, and we promise you won't leave hungry.
Our cabins are very similar but not exactly the same. Cabin 1 is called Hilltop because it is on the highest part of the property and has a view of the road and down the hill to where cows often graze. And there is a horse boarding/training facility across the road, so you sometimes see riders going past. And cyclists love the road too. The cabin's whirlpool tub is in the living area. You can enjoy the bubbles while you listen to music, watch TV or a movie, or just take in the view through the large window. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. The yard is mostly open but has several large shade trees.
Cabin 2 is called the Treehouse because it is surrounded by trees. This cabin is farther from the road and is much more secluded and private. The whirlpool tub is in the bathroom and includes a shower head. The yard is more wooded. The cabin is built on a slope, and the screened porch is up high off the ground, give you access to breezes and a tree-filtered view of the sunset.
Our rates are a very affordable $150 a night with a two-night reservation, plus 6% hotel occupancy tax. As of Jan. 1, 2009, we will charge $175 a night for a single-night reservation. If you stay four nights or more, we offer discounts. We have no dog charges.
