Harper-Chesser Historic Inn

Enjoy small town charm less than 30 minutes from the state capital.  Built in the late 1800’s and surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Harper-Chesser Historic Inn Bed and Breakfast provides the perfect backdrop for your relaxation, play or business.   The Inn is located in the Historic District in Georgetown, Texas.

The original beveled-glass front door welcomes you into the home where period antiques and splashes of color invite you to the romance of another time.  Guests enjoy a sumptuous gourmet breakfast prepared by chef/owners R.C. and Ruth Lumpkin.  Chef RC also offers cooking classes, demonstrations, and catering.

While at the Inn you  might choose to stroll the square and shop for antiques, visit your student at Southwestern University, play, swim, golf or just enjoy your visit.  Perhaps a restful getaway in your room with a DVD from the Inn’s library suits your needs or an activity-filled day of bicycling or canoeing, hiking and wine tasting.

First time visitors and long time friends find our guestrooms the perfect place to relax and feel at home.   Each room has its own personality characterized in beautiful hand painted murals and accents, and offers a private bath and plenty of room for your private relaxation, reading, or working (although we strongly suggest the former).  Period antiques fill the rooms, along with sumptuous beds and linens.
