No other figure in American history is more integrally connected to Texas than the cowboy. Still an important part of the Texas identity, you can imagine that some pretty fabulous Day of the Cowboy Celebrations take place in our great state.
One such celebration takes place in the East Texas town of Jefferson. The Jefferson Railway, a beautiful and historic locomotive tour service, is hosting Jefferson’s Day of the Cowboy celebration.
Take the Historic Jefferson Railway on Friday July 26 at 9 p.m. or Saturday, July 27 at 2:30, 4:30 and 9 p.m. for a special Cowboy Train ride, complete with a gunfight re-enactment!
Tickets are $12 for adults and children under 12 are $8, although there may be special pricing for this event. Call the Railway at (866) 398-2038.
