Pecan Fest Heritage DaysAre you nuts about nuts? We like to share with all of our road-tripping, traveling, bed and breakfast loving readers the great stuff happening around Texas, and coming up October 23-25, 2015 is the Pecan Fest Heritage Days in Seguin, TX.

If you aren’t familiar with Seguin, TX it is about 40 minutes east of San Antonio and 20 minutes south of New Braunfels, TX. It is a charming, quaint town with boatloads of history as it is one of the oldest towns in Texas, founded shortly after the Texas Revolution in 1836. The friendly community lets loose and “goes nuts” for Pecan Fest Heritage Days every year. It is a fun event for the whole family that celebrates the rural heritage of the community and honors the local pecan growers.

Some of the event highlights include:

October 23rd, 2015 – Ghost Tours at the Magnolia Hotel and Mosheim Mansion on

October 24th, 2015 – Live bands from 9am to midnight, Beer & Wine Garden, dancing, food booths, Trade Days Market with over 80 arts and crafts vendors, and free tours of Sebastopol House and Wilson Pottery Museum. If that wasn’t enough, this jam-packed day will also include a quilt show, classic car show, a TON of pecan goodies to eat, pecan pie contest, Tour de Pecan bike ride, tubing on the Guadalupe River, and street dance.

October 25th, 2015 – Riverside Cemetery Tours with re-enactments of prominent Seguin citizens and an open house at the Magnolia Hotel.
