Our innkeeper’s association strives to bring the best bed and breakfast owners together by providing professional resources and promotion to members.

Aspiring and New Innkeeper Member Program

One of the goals of Texas Bed & Breakfast Association is to provide education and support to its membership. Keeping this in mind, the Board has developed several hands-on opportunities for our members.

TBBA Mentorship Program is designed to provide one-on-one personalized assistance to (requesting) members in the areas of enhanced business knowledge, individual member growth in the hospitality field, and property development and growth.

Aspiring Member/ New Innkeeper Shadowing Opportunity

To present the aspiring or new innkeeper (AI/NI) with an overview or immersion experience of what a typical day/weekend of an innkeeper is like. This can range from observation to a hands-on experience depending on the goals and comfort level of the participants.

This may include subjects such as check-in procedure, breakfast preparation and service, interaction with the property’s guests, refresh or flip a room and plenty of time for Q&A.

We also attempt to match you with either a regional mentor or a size-of-property mentor.

Retiring Membership

TBBA members usually have a plan in the back of their minds regarding their eventual retirement from the bed and breakfast industry. Whether you plan to sell your property and live off the profits or plan to have someone run the day-to-day operations for you…you have a plan. TBBA works to help you think about the pitfalls of those plans and helps you learn about options for a successful retirement from the B&B business.
